Celebrating young peoples successes however small they are!
When was the last time we celebrated the achievements of our cubs in public? When was the last time we gave our cubs a standing ovation with pride and joy? Commencing in December summer 2010, Pride Lands will be awarding some of Wellingtons cubs with prizes, certificates and trophies to acknowledge their achievements in their schools for the year. This award ceremony will also celebrate the big cats that will be leaving primary and intermediate schools to go to high school the following year. We are proud to present this award ceremony, called The Pride Awards which will be accommodated by a green carpet as well. The values of Pride Lands supports wholly the efforts of a non-profit approach in attempts to have a positive impact on the children of our community. It is our personal belief that Young people have far greater potential than they are given credit for. It is important to encourage social and individual growth and an honour to see them strive reaching such potential and bearing witness as they glow with a sense of pride at their own achievements. At Pride Lands we know it is our mission and purpose to stand beside them for support as a friend and as role models. The Pride Awards is designed to be playful, yet practical giving children the sense to developing their self-confidence and independence to help them through the challenges of the years ahead. We are delighted to be involved with helping to shape a bright and positive future for the children of Greater Wellington, as we proceed with advancing this exciting award ceremony. We have every intention of ensuring Pride Awards enjoys a long and enduring future as a well-supported feature of our popular range of childcare activities here in Wellington. We would welcome your involvement as we work together to make a difference to the lives and futures of our young Wellingtonians. Your support and involvement will make a difference.
